Training Tips

This battle chart is important to construct battle strategies and for raising Pokemon! On the left side of the chart, look for your type of Pokemon. From your type, trace a line to the right and from your opponent's type, trace a line going down. You will have a symbol telling you what chance you have against your opponent. It is also good for when you raise Pokemon. Simply look for your type of Pokemon and look for the Pokemon type that is great against yours, then look for its weakness, for example: Squirtle is a water Pokemon, Pikachu is an electric Pokemon. In battle, Pikachu has an advantage over Squirtle (electric is great against water) When studying the chart you notice that an electric Pokemon has the weakness of ground Pokemon.
So by teaching a water Pokemon a ground move such as Dig (TM28 in Red/Blue/Yellow). It will be quite an even battle! Its good using the chart as you will have a much more variety of Moves meaning your team will almost be unstoppable. Due to having a lot of advantages over most Pokemon.
Don't waste your TMs by teaching a Pokemon a TM equal to its own element. It will learm those techniques itself. Its best teaching them TMs like above!

The Art of Evolution

There are good points and bad points when evolving a Pokemon.

It is good evolving Pokemon as you fill up you Pokedex and they get more Attack, Defense, Special, and Speed stats.

It is bad evolving a Pokemon as when they evolve they tend to take longer to learn skills. For example, Squirtle will learn the skill Hydro Pump at level 42, but Suirtle evolves into Wartortle at Level 16, as Wartortle, he learns Hydro Pump at Level 47, but after evolving into Blastoise, he learns it at level 52, a whole 10 levels after Squirtle learnt it! When you don't evolve, the Pokemon learns its stronger attacks at an earlier Level, and battling will become easier, so they grow quicker (if you think about it!)

Stones are the best when evolving Pokemon as you control when your Pokemon evolve. It is a bad thing to evolve a Pokemon as soon as you get it. For the reason that after evolution some Pokemon will not learn techniques through leveling up anymore! It is best to evolve them at there "Maturity level". What this means is, when their unevolved forms stop learning new techniques.

Some Pokemon have dodgy "Maturity Levels" as at a certain level, both unevolved and evolved learn a technique at. Study the list below!

Pikachu=>Raichu @Level 43
Nidorina=>Nidoqueen @Level 50
Nidorino=>Nidoking @Level 50

Exeggute=>Exeggutor @Level 48#

*At this level, Shellder will learn Ice Beam, but as Cloyster, he will learn Spike Cannon. It's your choice

#At Level 28, Exeggutor will learn Stomp, but nothing else. But evolving Exeggute at level 48, he will have stronger moves!
